Like I posted yesterday there is likely only a small handful of teams that would consider paying a significant price for the Sens 2 UFA's. From this small handful, WPG has the best prospect pool so Dorian is likely extracting every ounce of blood he can out of WPG before he shops that with the rest of the contenders.
By all accounts there are plenty of 1B winger options available and I think that will effect the return the Sens get.

What kills Dorion hitting a homerun is both Stone and Dutch are UFA. They are rentals only in most cases so Dorion can want all he likes but getting. Homerun deal likely isnt going to happen. |

I really do believe that the Islanders and Duchene are a great fit and Uncle Lou has the balls and assets to do the deal. I have said this for several months.
My one caution is watch out for St. Louis. They have a really solid team that is primed for a run and they have some really nice young assets in their system that are NHL ready. Nashville will try to take a run at Duchene but there is not much left in their development pool. |
